Wilder Pageant
Cast try-outs
for the Laura Ingalls Wilder Pageant will be held on Friday, April 9
from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. and Saturday, April 10 from 9:00 – 11:00
a.m. All try-outs will
be held at the Walnut Grove Elementary Gym.

make sure to return them to school as soon as you can.

Dress for Mass Days
This is a
reminder that we need to dress nicely for school Mass days.
Lately, I’ve noticed our students wearing sweatpants,
sweatshirts, and ripped jeans to church.
This is not appropriate church wear.
Please remind your child/ren to dress nicely and if needed
their teachers will allow them to change into different clothes
after
Mass.

Accreditation Visit
Within two
weeks, the Accreditation team will be coming to visit St. Mary’s
School. This team visits
with teachers, students, and sometimes parents regarding their
thoughts and feelings about St. Mary’s School.
They also check many different aspects of our school to make
sure that we can maintain our accreditation status with MNSAA.
If you receive a call, please answer any questions they have
about our school. The
team will be visiting St. Mary’s School on Tuesday and Wednesday,
April 20th and 21st.
First Communion Retreat
The First
Communion Retreat for
St.
Mary’s Second Graders is this Saturday, April 10th from
1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the St. Mary’s church basement.
Iowa
Basics Testing
Our annual
testing for Iowa Basics is taking place next week, Monday, April 12th
through Friday, April 16th.
Please try to make sure that your child/ren get a good
night’s rest each night and breakfast each morning.
These tests are used to determine your child’s progress in
school and to give the teacher’s an overall view of strengths and
weaknesses. Please
discuss with your child how important it is to do their best work on
these tests. Thank you!
Certificate Sales
Certificate
sales have been happening for two weeks.
We are not very close to our goal.
Please try to keep selling them.
Our certificate sales end on Tuesday, April 13th.
Our final prize day will be Thursday, April 15th.
We are only at $3890 and our goal is $16,500.
Please help as much as you can.

All School Prayer
I have changed
All School Prayer once again. It
is on the calendar as this Friday, but we needed to change the date.
The Kindergarten, First, and Second Graders are preparing
April’s All School Prayer for Friday, April 16th at
2:40 p.m.

School Pictures were sent home today.
If you decide not to keep any of the Spring pictures please
send the packet back to school immediately.
There is an order blank on the inside of your Spring picture
packet if you choose to purchase the packet or it is priced by the
sheet. If you have any
questions please contact the office.
Hot Lunch Statements
In January the
hot lunch invoices for the remainder of the year were sent home with
the oldest child in your family.
Please note that new statements were sent home last week.
The credits were given for days absent and the amounts were
adjusted to account for the 2 extra make up day for the snow days
that were missed. Please
send in all payment for April that were due on the first.
