Congratulations!
Congratulations
to Kristin Vogl of Tracy, our $100 weekly calendar raffle winner.
Thank you for supporting our school!
Family Picnic ~ Change
of Location!
We will be
having our 3rd Annual Family Picnic on St. Mary’s
School playground on Friday, May 14th at 6:30 p.m.
We’re having it at school so that any families that are
interested in St. Mary’s School can visit with teachers and get a
tour of the school. Get
the word out and invite any friends who would like to join us and
see what we’re all about at St. Mary’s.
Remember it is a potluck meal, so everyone needs to bring a
dish to pass.
We are also looking for someone willing to donate such items
as hamburgers, hot dogs, and brats.
We are also looking for someone to help set up tables,
lemonade, water, and games that afternoon.
If you are willing, please call the school office.
Come and enjoy a fun evening with our school family!
Grandparents Day Program
This year’s
Grandparents Day Program will be Friday, May 7th at 2:00
p.m. in the school gym. Please
have your children dress nicely for the program.
No jeans or sweatpants should be worn for the program.
May Crowning
Our May Crowning
will take place on Friday, May 7th at the end of
Mass.
Please remember that we
process with flowers to our statue of Mary.
We honor Mary, Mother of Jesus, and Queen of Heaven with a
prayer service and crowning ceremony.
Everyone is invited to attend!
Students are asked to bring flowers if you can for May
Crowning that morning. If
you bring silk flowers, please make sure that your name is written
on a tag somewhere on the flower stem.
If you do not have any way to get flowers there will be some
available for each student that day.
SCRIP News!
In the upcoming
weeks, a new type of SCRIP envelope will be created and used.
It will have the most commonly used and local businesses on
the front, with no businesses on the back.
An order form for national SCRIP vendors will be inserted
into each envelope for your use.
Thanks ~ Linnea
K-2 Spring Plays
The
Kindergarten, First and Second Graders have been busy preparing
their spring plays. These
plays will take place on Thursday, May 13th at 2:15 p.m.
in the old Religion room. Please
join us for a fun afternoon.
Thank You Mrs. Hauger!
I would like to
take this time to thank Mrs. Hauger for everything she has done for
St. Mary’s School over the past 3 ½ years.
Mrs. Hauger’s last day at St. Mary’s School will be
Monday, May 17th because an opportunity and position has
opened for her to take at Running’s corporate office in
Marshall
. Please join me in
wishing Mrs. Hauger good luck on her future!
Mrs. Hauger, thank you for all you have done for our school
and we will miss you!
Parent Volunteer
With Mrs.
Hauger’s end date at St. Mary’s School being May 17th,
I am in need of a parent volunteer or several parent volunteers to
sit in the school office in the afternoons while I teach.
I would need help from Tuesday, May 18th to
Friday, May 28th. While
we are looking for a new secretary, I told Father that there are
plenty of parents who would be willing to help me out for two weeks
until the end of the school year.
Please call the school office if you are willing to help and
let either Mrs. Hauger or myself know that you’re willing.
Thanks!
