MEA Break
Enjoy your
four day break! We
will see everyone back to school on Monday, October 19th.
Thank you!
Thank you
for the memorials donated in the memory of John Kosse,
we are blessed by your thoughtful generosity.
Safe Environment Training
Students
in grades Kindergarten through Fifth Grade will be receiving
their annual Safe Environment Training next Wednesday, October
21st. This
program is provided to us by the New Ulm Diocese and is a part
of our ongoing effort to help create and maintain a safe
environment for children and to protect all children from
sexual abuse. On
Monday, an “Opt-Out” form will be sent home.
If you determine that you DO NOT want your child to
participate, please complete the form and return it to your
child’s teacher BEFORE Wednesday.
Tammy Horner
This is
just to let everyone know that Tammy Horner has a
Caring
Bridge
website. In your
web browser, type in www.caringbridge.org/visit/tammyhorner
and you will be directed to her site.
Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to bring a
meal! We have been
relaying the word to please make your meals freezable.
We don’t know what kind of schedule the Horner’s
will have now and want to make everything as easy as possible
for everyone.
LifeTouch
Picture Retakes
If you are
interested in getting picture retakes, please contact the
school office as soon as possible.
We will need to set up a time with LifeTouch
for any needed retakes.
Echoes Basketball!
It’s
getting close to that time of year again when our basketball
season starts up. Joe
Vandendriessche, our Athletic Director, is trying to get
everything prepared. He
needs to know the numbers of students in Grade 4 and 5 who
would be interested in playing basketball and if anyone would
volunteer to be the basketball coach.
Please let the school office know if you will
volunteer.
Calendar Raffle
We are
trying to wrap up the calendar raffle and there are a handful
of people who still have money to collect for tickets that
were turned in. Please
make every effort to take care of this as soon as possible so
we can finish up the final numbers.
Thanks.
H1N1 Note
Please
note that public health will be offering the H1N1 vaccine to
St. Mary’s Students. The
vaccine is scheduled to be administered on November 18th
for those who are interested.
There is no charge for this vaccine.
More information will be coming home in the next couple
of weeks.
Mission
Tuesday
Each
Tuesday is named
Mission
Tuesday because it is the day that students bring in donations
for the Mission Project we have decided on this year.
This year, we are focusing once again on our San Lucas Toliman
Mission in
Guatemala
. The donations
from the students do not need to be huge amounts, small
amounts from each student, adds up quickly.
Mission
Tuesday has always been a part of the students’ service to
others.
