Congratulations!

Congratulations to Marianne and Robert Ankrum of Tracy, this week’s $100 weekly calendar raffle winner.  Thank you for supporting our school.

Thank you!

Thank you for the memorials donated in memory of John Kosse, Bea Schons, and Bernie Kirsh.  We are blessed by your thoughtfulness!

LifeTouch Picture Retakes

Lifetouch picture retakes have been schedule for Friday, November 6th, 2009.

Echoes Basketball!

It’s getting close to that time of year again when our basketball season starts up.  Joe Vandendriessche, our Athletic Director, is trying to get everything prepared.  He needs to know the numbers of students in Grade 4 and 5 who would be interested in playing basketball and if anyone would volunteer to be the basketball coach.  Please let the school office know if you will volunteer.

Wreath Sales

Our wreath sales fundraiser is going on right now.  Please don’t forget to check with anyone who may be interested in decorating their house with greenery for the holidays.  All orders need to be back to the school office by Monday, November 2nd.

All Saints Day Parties

Our All Saints Day Parties will be taking place tomorrow, Friday, October 30th at 2:00 p.m. in the classrooms.

End of 1st Quarter

The end of the 1st Quarter is coming up on Friday, November 6th.  Please help your child/ren make sure that all of their work is completed.  Report Cards will come home that Friday as well.

Fall Conferences

Fall Conferences will be Tuesday and Thursday, November 10th and 12th.  Conference letters and schedules will be coming home next week.

Big Buddies

If your child came home with a green permission slip from the high school to join Big Buddies and it hasn’t been returned yet to school please do so ASAP.  Even if you or your child does not want to participate, please bring the slip stating that intent.  Thank you!

Tammy Horner’s Address and Meals

If you’d like to send cards and such directly to Tammy in Sioux Falls , this is the address she can be reached at:

                        Ronald McDonald House

                        Tammy Horner

                        808 E. 24th St .

                        Sioux Falls , SD 57105

Thank you to everyone who has already volunteered to bring a meal to the Horner family.  We have up until November 13th covered.  Please help us keep them supplied with meals up to Christmas Break.  I know that the family really appreciates your efforts.  It’s one more thing that Tammy doesn’t have to worry about while she is in Sioux Falls with Joseph.

Calendar Raffle

We are trying to wrap up the calendar raffle and there are a handful of people who still have money to collect for tickets that were turned in.  Please make every effort to take care of this as soon as possible so we can finish up the final numbers.  Thanks.

H1N1 Note

Please note that public health will be offering the H1N1 vaccine to St. Mary’s Students.  The vaccine is scheduled to be administered on November 18th for those who are interested.  There is no charge for this vaccine.  Coming home today are consent forms for you to sign about whether or not you want your child/ren to receive the H1N1 vaccine.  Public Health would like everyone to fill out this form, even if you do not want your child to receive the vaccine.

PartyLite

Please try to do all you can for this added fundraiser.  Don’t forget that PartyLite candles are high quality candles.  These candles make great Christmas gifts for teachers, relatives, assistants, and others whom you want to spread holiday cheer.  Don’t forget that this is a very easy fundraiser.  There is no shipping charge or tax because we are a non-profit organization.  If you would like to see some samples, please stop by the school office.

** With all of our fundraisers, don’t forget to ask people from our church and in our community.  We’ve had many people stop by the school office to ask why no one has come to them for fundraisers.  Sometimes their feelings have gotten hurt because no one has come to them.**
