Calendar Raffle

Congratulations to Claire Hannasch of Tracy, our $100 weekly calendar raffle winner.  Thank you for supporting our school!

CPT Tomorrow

This is a reminder that tomorrow is a CPT 2 Hr. Late Start.  Please do not drop off your child/ren until 9:45 that morning.  Thank you!

Thank you!

Thank you for the memorials donated in the memory of Bea Schons and John Kosse, we are blessed by your thoughtful generosity.

Upcoming Break

This is just a reminder that there will be no school next Thursday and Friday, October 15th and 16th for MEA Break.

Just a Note

Recently, I have had several parents stop me after Mass to relay messages about where their child should be going after school.  While I really try hard to remember these messages, sometimes things happen in between church and my office and I forget to get the messages to Mrs. Hauger.  Please help me by letting the school office know of these messages with a note, a phone call, or even stop over after Mass.   I don’t want to forget, but it sometimes happens and I would hate for your child to go to the wrong place after school.  Thank you for your help with this! ~ Mrs. Neuman

Tammy Horner

This is just to let everyone know that Tammy Horner has a Caring Bridge website.  In your web browser, type in www.caringbridge.org/visit/tammyhorner and you will be directed to her site.  Thank you to everyone who has volunteered to bring a meal.  We have the first two weeks taken care of but we would like to have more dates filled in.  Please let the office know if you would like to help.

Congratulations to Ben and Suzanne Lightfoot!

Our congratulations go to Ben and Suzanne Lightfoot on the birth of their newest son, Samuel Stephen born on September 29th at 4:34 p.m.  He weighed 8 pounds 4 ounces and was 20 inches long.  He was welcomed home by big brother Elijah.  Congratulations to Mrs.LaVoy on her newest grandson!

Rescheduled Field Trip

The Kindergarten, First, and Second Graders will be going to the Poppe Pumpkin Patch in Lakefield.  It was raining on their scheduled day, so they will be heading next Tuesday, October 13th.  Pray for their safe travels!

H1N1 Note

Please note that public health will be offering the H1N1 vaccine to St. Mary’s Students.  The vaccine is scheduled to be administered on November 18th for those who are interested.  There is no charge for this vaccine.  More information will be coming home in the next couple of weeks.

Final Prize Day for COF Marathon and Magazines!

The final prize day for Catholic Order of Foresters Marathon and QSP Magazines will be on Wednesday, October 14th at 2:50 p.m.  That day we will have magazine school store day.  On Tuesday, October 20th at 8:30 a.m. our QSP magazine rep will be here for our magazine sales pig races.

School Strategic Plan Subcommittee

At our parent meeting, I mentioned that this year, with Accreditation happening, we needed to form a Strategic Plan Subcommittee.  This subcommittee will brainstorm ideas for many different aspects of our school.  If you would be interested in joining this subcommittee, please contact the school office to let Mrs. Neuman know by next Monday, October 12.  Please consider doing this because we are all stakeholders in our school and to be successful in this endeavor, we need input from all involved.  I would like to have our first meeting after the MEA weekend break.

Mission Tuesday

Each Tuesday is named Mission Tuesday because it is the day that students bring in donations for the Mission Project we have decided on this year.  This year, we are focusing once again on our San Lucas Toliman Mission in Guatemala .  The donations from the students do not need to be huge amounts, small amounts from each student, adds up quickly.  Mission Tuesday has always been a part of the students’ service to others.

Calendar Raffle

We are trying to wrap up the calendar raffle and there are a handful of people who still have money to collect for tickets that were turned in.  Please make every effort to take care of this as soon as possible so we can finish up the final numbers.  Thanks.
