Catholic
Order of Foresters Marathon
Catholic Order of Foresters Marathon
Turn-In days are Tuesdays.
Please keep working at getting those pledges.
Remember our goal this year is $12,000.
As of today, we have only brought in $292.
I know we can make our goal!
Magazine Sales
Today was our
first prize day for magazines. Keep
trying to sell those magazines.
Our goal is $8000, I know we can make our goal!
Also, please note we DO NOT accept coupons for our magazine
sale fundraiser. This is
a fundraiser and coupons take away from any profit that the school
would receive. Thanks so
much for your attention to this!
Paper Usage
We are trying to
conserve our paper usage this year and trying to reuse as much paper
as possible. Please do
not be surprised if something comes home from your child/ren’s
teacher with a strange back side, we are just reusing paper.
If you would like to receive the school newsletter in e-mail
form instead of paper form, we would be happy to accommodate you.
Please let the school office know.
Thank you!
Wear
St.
Mary’s Shirts
To celebrate
Homecoming, please wear your St. Mary’s shirts tomorrow.
Please remember to wear nice pants for church and you can
always change out of them after mass.
If you don’t have a St. Mary’s shirt, please wear royal
blue.

Thank you to everyone who has gotten their forms in already!
Dress for Mass Days
This is a
reminder that we need to dress nicely for school Mass days.
Please remind your child/ren to dress nicely and if needed
their teachers will allow them to change into different clothes
after
Mass.
Thank you!
Pop Tab Houses
The Pop Tab
Houses will be coming
home this afternoon. Thank
you for supporting our service to the Ronald McDonald House in
Sioux Falls
.
4th Grade to Lamberton
Research Station
On Thursday,
September 24th, the 4th grade class will be
going on a field trip to the Lamberton Research Station.
Scrap Metal
Please remember
that as a fundraiser for a new playground, we are collecting
aluminum cans. There is
also a covered wagon behind church just waiting for aluminum cans to
be dropped off in. Feel
free to drop off any pop cans you have and they will be taken to
Becker’s by Matt Surprenant. Thank
you for your support of our school!
SCRIP News
If you have
trouble using a card please save the card and let Tammy Horner or
Linnea Surprenant know so they can follow up.
They will need the serial number off the back of the card and
the location you tried to use it.
This information is used when they try to track down SCRIP
card problems.
A note from Fr. Bob
We have received
word the the H1N1 virus is now in the
Tracy
Public School
and therefore in our area and community.
If anyone is
feeling ill they are to remain home.
It is recommended to remain home for 24 hours after the fever
breaks and the treatment is over – although the CDC has said on TV
that this is a long living flu virus as the person who has had it is
still contagious and can spread the disease for 6 days after their
symptoms are over.
Frequent hand
washing and use of hand sanitizer is highly encouraged especially
with the children, along with using disinfectant in the classrooms
on desks, door knobs etc. Use
of tissues or coughing into the sleeve or elbow is encouraged to
keep the spittle and phlegm from being airborne.
