Service Projects for the Year
This year the
students came up with the different service activities they wanted
St. Mary’s students to do. Our
list this year includes: Thanksgiving Meal for the Tracy Food
Shelf (10-12 meals this year), Toy Donation for the Tracy Food
Shelf, Pennies for Patients, Valentines
for the Guatemalan Mission, and March Food Drive.
This year we are once again focusing on our Guatemalan
Mission for
Mission
Tuesday. We are going
to also try and write letters to the students at the
Mission
School
and become penpals with their
students.
Beginning of the Year forms
Please get all
school forms sent into the office as soon as possible.
Thank you to everyone who has gotten their forms in
already!
Bullying Workshop
Next Thursday,

friendship into the workshop as well.

School.
Catholic Order of Foresters Marathon
Catholic Order
of Foresters Marathon will
take place on Sunday, October 4th at End-o-
Line
Park
in Currie, MN. Please
be there by 1:45 p.m. to allow time to check-in.
We will have prayer at 2:00 p.m. before we take off on the
trail. Right now, we
have pledges in for $2287 please keep
turning in your sheets each Tuesday.
Thank you for all of your hard work so far!
Scrap Metal
Please
remember that as a fundraiser for a new playground, we are
collecting aluminum cans. There
is also a covered wagon behind church just waiting for aluminum
cans to be dropped off in. Feel
free to drop off any pop cans you have and they will be taken to
Becker’s by Matt Surprenant.
Thank you for your support of our school!
A note from Fr. Bob
We have
received word the the H1N1 virus is
now in the
Tracy
Public School
and therefore in our area and community.
If anyone is
feeling ill they are to remain home.
It is recommended to remain home for 24 hours after the
fever breaks and the treatment is over – although the CDC has
said on TV that this is a long living flu virus as the person who
has had it is still contagious and can spread the disease for 6
days after their symptoms are over.
Frequent hand
washing and use of hand sanitizer is highly encouraged especially
with the children, along with using disinfectant in the classrooms
on desks, door knobs etc. Use
of tissues or coughing into the sleeve or elbow is encouraged to
keep the spittle and phlegm from being airborne.
