Curriculum – Grades K-6
Sadlier’s We Believe with Project
Disciple. This 2011 edition is based on the six tasks
of catechesis—pray, learn, celebrate, share, choose, and live.
These new sections invite children to live out their faith with exciting
activities that deepen each lesson. This updated curriculum
incorporates the Roman Missal third edition.
All second graders are prepared for the receiving of the sacraments
First Penance and First Communion in the late winter/early spring of the
school year by Mrs. Sanow.
School mass is held once a week at St. Mary’s Parish. Students
participate in the mass by announcing the songs, reading the readings
and petitions, bringing up the gifts, serving, and leading the psalm
singing. The first Friday of every month students also participate in
confession before or after mass. Stations of the Cross services are
attended during Lent. Special masses are held to observe Holy
Days, including All Saints Day and the Crowning of Mary.
